The Colts vs Minnesota Vikings

The Colts absolutely thrashed the Minnesota Vikings 34-6, though both teams are at just 7-7, theoretically the Colts can still make the playoffs due to the lack of a standout team in their division. Gore’s rushing and Turbin’s 2 TD were the standout performances in a one-sided affair, leaving the 291 yards from Bradford a null and void effort. The Houston Texans were playing for their top place in the division, and won a nail-biter against the Jaguars 21-20, to maintain that spot. It took a 10-point turnaround to get the job done for the Indiana outfit in the final term, much to the delight of their supporters. In a similar score the Packers were somewhat troubled by the hapless Bears, but managed to pull off a 30-27 win, despite giving up 17 late points to the charging Bears.

The Falcons were miles too good for the 1-win 49ers, smashing them 41-13, thanks to a bonanza first half that supplied them with 28 points. The win keeps the Falcons firmly entrenched in the postseason picture at 9-5, a game ahead of their rivals the Tampa Bay Buccaneers. In another high scoring affair, the Saints found a 6th win of the season, against the Cardinals who have just 5 and a draw, 48-41. Though, both teams are already focusing on their offseason plans and how they can be competitive next season.

The Oakland Raiders are one of the top teams in the leagues and are now 11-3, after overcoming the Chargers, winning 19-16, thanks to a consistent effort. Meanwhile, San Diego had nothing more than pride to play for and contracts of course as there is sure to be many hard questions asked in the upcoming offseason after yet another dismal campaign. Another of the real contenders is the New England Patriots who won 16-3 against the Broncos, leaving everyone sure that their defences are ready to mount a serious title tilt. The Cowboys are the other of the heavyweights, though they came up against a solid Tampa outfit, and struggled to a 6-point win, it was good and they are now 12-2. The Buccaneers can still dream of glory also as they are at 8-6, and not without chances of advancing through, due to the quality of their division. Finally, the Panthers were good enough to defeat the Redskins, though neither team are thought of as a serious threat, come the postseason, if somehow either of them can qualify.
